Obituary

Alice Lucille McDaniel was born November 9, 1940 to late Amos and Martha Anderson.  She departed this life on Friday, April, 18, 2025.  She confessed her life at an early age at Little Zion MB Church.  She was preceded in death by her late ex husband, Joseph McDaniel, her son Joseph Anderson Jr. and her great grandson Andra'Labrett Carter.

As a young adult she moved to Saginaw, Michigan where she was employed at  Royal Palm and later went on to work at General Motors where she meet her companion O'Neal Parish (Bigdaddy) of 42 years.

While in Saginaw she was also a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  During her employment with General Motors she was transferred to Shreveport, Louisiana, where she retired after 26 years. While living in Shreveport she was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. Bigmama was a woman of many talents and interests, from gardening, sewing, cooking to shopping.  She loved her great grandchildren unconditionally, laughed often, and brought light to every room she entered with her radiant smile.
