Mr. Anthony Lydell Summerhill, better known as "Tony" was born October 15, 1960 to Mrs. Helen Summerhill and the late Mr. Jerry Bill Summerhill, Sr.
Tony departed this life on June 6, 2016 in Florence, Alabama.
Tony accepted Christ at an early age and united with Springhill MB Church, were he served as a faithful member until his demise. Tony graduated from Central High School, class of 1979. Directly after graduation, he enlisted into the United States Army, where he served his country faithfully for many years. His military rank was E-4 and he served in Desert Storm. After faithfully serving his country for many years, he was honorably discharged. Tony was a devoted son, father, brother, nephew, uncle and cousin.
Tony was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Jerry Bill Summerhill, Sr., and a brother, Mr. Leonard Ray Summerhill.
Tony leaves to cherish his loving memories: his mother, Mrs. Helen Summerhill of Florence, Alabama; a daughter, Ms. Breanna Summerhill of Florence, Alabama; one brother, Mr. Jerry (Pamela) Summerhill, Jr., Killeen, Texas; three sisters, Ms. Vivian A. Long, Lima, Ohio, Ms. Bridget Summerhill, and Mrs. Brenda ( Gary) Barnett, both of Florence, Alabama; three uncles, Mr. Felix Summerhill, Mr. Harvey Summerhill, and Mr. Tom (Shula) Summerhill, all of Florence, Alabama; two aunts, Mrs. Alice (Eugene) Jackson, Lima, Ohio; and Mrs. Martha Johnson, Florence, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Tony departed this life on June 6, 2016 in Florence, Alabama.
