Billy Ray Asher's Obituary
Mr. Billy Ray Asher was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama on June 22, 1952 to Ms. Martha L. Asher of Florence, and Eliah Stewart of Ypsilanti, Michigan, who both preceded him in death. Billy also had a chance to say goodbye to his son, Darrick Demetral Smith, and his brother, Emerson Stewart.
Leaving to mourn him are his daughter, Angela Stewart; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; four brothers, Eli (Geneva) Asher of Ferguson, Missouri, Charles Asher of Florence, Alabama, Eriah Stewart of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Michael Stewart of Florence, Alabama; three sisters, Mrs. Gwendolyn (Robert) Thompson of Florence, Alabama, Ms. Elizabeth Stewart of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and Ms. Shelia Jenkins of Anderson, Alabama; one great-aunt, Mrs. Rosie Lee Thompson of Florence, Alabama; two aunts, Mrs. Shirley Rowlett and Mrs. Easter Asher of Florence, Alabama; one uncle, Mr. Willie (Lena) Asher of Ypsilanti, Michigan, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
