Killen
Grace Memorial Funeral Home announces with deepest sympathy the passing of: Mr. Brandon D. Gieske, 42, Killen
Mr. Gieske passed away on: Monday, January 29, 2024 at Glenwood Nursing Home, Florence.
Brandon Vines flew high and free into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 29th, 2024 after a hard and lengthy battle with cancer. After accepting Jesus into his heart on January 14th, 2024 he was truly at peace and was ready to walk through the pearly gates of heaven.
Brandon was born in Lawrenceburg, Tennessee on March 29th, 1981 and was a Florence, Alabama native true and true. Roll tide! As a young boy and even into his later life Brandon always had a great love for the outdoors. Whether it was working on the farm he and his siblings grew up on with the chickens and cattle or fishing and hunting with friends and family. He would jump at the moment to help out at his Aunt and Uncle's meat market. He loved the outdoors. This love he shared and learned from his Father, James.
Brandon will be missed deeply by all who knew and had the pleasure to love him. Everyone should be comforted by the incredible strength and resilience and unwavering faith he displayed as he battled his declining health. Brandon is preceded in death by his father James Vines, mother Debra Cape, baby brother Anthony (Tony) Vines and grandson Mason Gieske. He is survived by son Dakota Gieske and daughters Lashay and Averi Gieske. His sisters Stacey Vines Ritch (Todd), Shelly Vines Hart (Steven) and Tasha Gieske. His brothers Jimmy Vines (Lisa), Jeremy Gieske (Dawn), and Shane Vines (Amber), Grandchildren Anthony and Lilliana , several nieces and nephews, and even some precious great nieces and nephews.
Brandon's family would like to express their deep appreciation to: The caring Pastor Jerry Gibson of Parker's Chapel Baptist church in Cloverdale, Alabama. Grace Memorial Funeral Home in Sheffield. The compassionate staff at both Glenwood Rehab and Gentiva Hospice and lastly Clearview Cancer Institute. All of their care, love, and compassion during the last year of Brandon's life was truly felt. A celebration of life will be held at Parker's Chapel Baptist Church 2535 County Road 11 Florence , Al 35633( at the intersection of CR 8 & CR 11) with Brother Jerry Gibson officiating the service on February 1st, 2024. The service will be from 11-1pm. Please join us in celebrating our beloved brother Brandon with laughter, joy, and sweet stories, as this is what Brandon would have loved and wanted.
