Mr. Carl Harden Sr. was born on September 12, 1921 , to the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas and Nina Harden. He departed this life on Wednesday , March 18, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. Carl was a life long resident of Killen, Alabama. He was educated in the Lauderdale County School System and was an outstanding student leading his class in auto mechanics. He was an awesome provider for his family and looked out for the entire community with his gardening skills. He retired from Reynolds Metal Company. Carl served as a deacon at the North Side Church of Christ located in Center Star, Alabama. Carl was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mosella Harden for fifty-seven years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mosella; son, Carl Harden Jr.;brothers, Almond, Thomas, and Harvey Harden; sisters, Frankie Jordan and Eridale Bray; son-in-law, Samuel Walker; grandson, Christopher Byrd; great-grandson, Christopher Byrd Jr,.; Those left to cherish his memories are; three sons, Leon Harden, David(Linda) Harden, and Jimmy Harden; five daughters, Helen(Billy) Coleman, Christine Harden, Shelia Walker, Myra(Howard)Malone, and Gerldine (Marlon)Abernathy; loving and devoted brother, Walter Harden; sisters, Arrie Bell Fields, Ida Lou Ingram and Mary Beth Teesly; brother-in-law, Bennie(Louise) Ingram; twenty-four grandchildren; thirty-five great-grand children; fourteen great-great grandchildren; loving and devoted nephew, J.C. Fields. Very caring cousin Earl Allen; a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
