Chiquita Yolita Barrett was born January 10, 1969, in Leighton,

Alabama. She was born to Ms. Bobbie Nelson and the late Mr. Henry Edward

Allen. She graduated from Colbert County High School. At an early age she

professed her faith in Jesus Christ and joined Saint James Missionary Baptist

Church, where she was a dedicated member and active participant in the

choir. On July 4, 2019, Chiquita was called home to be with her Lord and

Savior, Jesus Christ. She received the greatest grace of eternal peace, where

there is no sadness or tears.

She is preceded in death by: her sister, Sabrina Jackson, and mother-in-law,

Ms. Annie Barrett.

Chiquita's life will forever be cherished by: her husband of 29 years, Mr.

Larry Darnell Barrett; two sons, Terrance (Dorian) and Kristian Barrett;

and two grandchildren, Tyler Barrett and Kolby Terry. She is also survived

by: her mom, Ms. Bobbie Nelson; siblings, Quintin (Charissa) Davis, Tanya

(Kenneth) Satcher, Marvin (Ebony) Harden, Tori Almon, Latoya Coffey,

Sherrie Nicole (Paul) Mason, Deetra (Earl) Fitchard, Kimberly McGhee

Henderson, and Rickey (Ayden) McCoy; sisters-in-law, Yvonna Barrett, Yvette

Barrett, Fannie (Tyrone) Yarbrough, Felicia Barrett, Vickey Mayes, Glenda

Mayes, and Terry (Sam) Mayes; brothers-in-law, Winfred (Evelyn) Barrett,

Wilfred (Leatha) Barrett, Andre (Linda) Barrett, John Barrett, Anthony

(Katrice) Mayes, Lawrence Mayes, Ronnie Mayes, and James Mayes; and a

host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
