Christopher Bernard Toomer was born May 10, 1970 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late parents of George and Lillie Toomer. He attended Columbia High School in Decatur, GA.

In 2004, he moved to Muscle Shoals, Alabama where he lived for 16 years. He became employed with Nichols Aluminum in Decatur, Alabama from 2008 to 2014. He began as a machine forklift driver later to be promoted as a machine operator with the company.

In July of 2011, Chris was a huge help to various ministries in the church by serving on the audio/video ministry, and also driving the church van. He often invited friends and neighbors to visit the church with him, and offered creative ideas to assist the church in progressive ministry efforts.

Christopher possessed a warm, generous and loving spirit and showed that to everyone he met. As a beloved resident of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Chris loved the community he lived in. His smile and sense of humor were felt by all he came into contact with. He always had an encouraging word for those who needed it. Chris was talented in his own right. He showed his entrepreneurial skill in barbering and in making jewelry.

On this morning of March 6, 2020, Chris transitioned to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Chris always gave honor to Christ for making him into the man he wanted to become and realized that there were no limits to what God could do with his life.

He has been preceded in death by his parents, George and Lillie Toomer, and an oldest brother, Michael Toomer (Karen).

He leaves to cherish his memory two sisters: Theresa Toomer and Sherry Tompkins (Kenneth); A niece, Andrea Tompkins; A nephew, Antonio Tompkins; A great nephew, Jacob; and a host of cousins and friends.
