Clark Everett
Foster
Feb 28, 1985 — May 13, 2024
Florence
A Beautiful Life
Our beloved brother, Clark Everett Foster passed away on May 13, 2024, at just 39 years old. He was born on February 28, 1985, the only son of the late Theola Marie Foster and Robert Carroll, Sr. He lost his mother, Theola, while he was still in high school, and that loss stayed with him for the rest of his life. Clark and his mom shared an undeniable bond; he was her life and she was his world. Clark's faith was the foundation of his life. Raised in the church, he accepted Christ at an early age and was a dedicated member of Rock Primitive Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama, under the spiritual leadership of Dr. Billie E. Brewton. He also worshiped at St. John Primitive Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama. After living in San Diego, California, for a few years, he joined Christ Chapel when he returned to Florence, Alabama. In recent years, he found his way back home to Rock Primitive Baptist Church, where he remained a faithful member until his health declined.
A proud graduate of Bradshaw High School, Class of 2003, Clark was a true "Bruin" at heart. He will always be remembered as "TubaKing" on the field during halftime with the Mighty Bruin Band. His high school days were filled with friends and joy, and he kept in touch with many of his classmates over the years. He was thrilled to see so many of those classmates at their 20-year class reunion. A die-hard "Bama" football fan, Clark's enthusiasm for the Crimson Tide was infectious — "Roll Tide!" was practically his second language. Clark's heart was even bigger than his enthusiasm for football. He was a gentle giant, a big man with an even bigger heart. His loyalty and kindness endeared him to all who knew him. His devotion to his friends and family was unwavering. He had a knack for making people feel special, always celebrating their achievements and offering a supportive shoulder during tough times. Kids adored him, and he had a natural way with them. He also had a deep respect for law enforcement, forming close friendships with many on the Florence Police Force. After his mother's passing, he honored their service and sacrifice with a heartfelt plaque.
Clark leaves a legacy of faith, love, and unyielding support for his friends and family. He'll be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Theola Foster and Robert Carroll, Sr., as well as his maternal grandmother, Edna Foster. He also joins his paternal grandparents, Albert Carroll, Sr. and Hattie Mae Butler Carroll, along with cherished uncles, Sylvester Foster, McKinley 'Popcorn' Carroll, Albert Carroll, Jr., a beloved niece, Diamond Carroll, and cousin, Delphia Ann Foster.
Clark's memory will be cherished by his loving family, including four sisters, Susie Carroll of Spruce Pine, Alabama, Rosalyn Fox of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Tami Jackson of Johns Creek, Georgia, and Jossie (Ras Christian) Marker of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, Robert Carroll, Jr.; aunts, Lily Mae Kelly of Florence, Alabama and Donna Ann (Norman) Brewster Hall of San Diego, California; one niece, Ashley Carroll and five nephews, Andrew (Michelle) Fox, Michael Fox, Jacson Carroll, Cashan Oates, and Ramsey Jackson - will forever remember their Uncle Clark. Additionally, Clark leaves behind his adoptive aunts, Ruth Jackson-Anderson and Carolyn Jackson-Mixon, both of Florence, Alabama; an especially devoted cousin, CaNeysha Mixon; along with loving cousins, Dr. Kimberly Jackson, Delthia "Wendy" Foster, Della Tucker, Marcia Cole-Abernathy; great-nieces, great-nephews, and devoted friends.
