Deacon John Daniel Elliott was born April
11, 1930. He went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6,
2022, at Helen Keller Hospital in Sheffield, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.
He was known in the community as "Mr. Dan" or "Brother Dan." Mr.
Dan was always concerned about the children in the neighborhood,
encouraging them to be saved, go to church, and work. Mr. Elliott
retired from Robbins Rubber and Tire Company, Tuscumbia,
Alabama, after 20 plus years of service.

He confessed Jesus as his Lord and Savior, was baptized, and joined
Galilee Missionary Baptist Church, where he served and attended
until recent health issues.

He leaves to cherish his memories: daughter, Mrs. Annie Elliott Cobb
of Leighton, Alabama; son, Mr. Larry E. Elliott (Sarah) of Flint,
Michigan; grandchildren, Trumie Cobb III of Leighton, Alabama,
Corey Cobb (Knegleshia) of Madison, Alabama, and Cierra Johnson
of Flint, Michigan; great-grandchildren, DeCorian, Kentorius,
LaCorey, Morgyn, Madisyn Cobb, Darrion Thomas, all of Madison/
Huntsville, Alabama; great-great-grandchild, Caden Cobb of
Huntsville, Alabama; friend and caregiver, Edith Clay of Leighton,
Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong
neighborhood friends.
