There are many things in life that we cannot understand but we must trust God's judgement and be guided by his hand. All who have God's blessings can rest safely in his care for he promises us "safe passage on the wings of faith and prayer".

Mr. David Lee Lt. Barnett was born July 30, 1955 to the late Thomas Amos and Olivia Barnett in Florence, AL. He departed this life on January 1, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center- Florence, AL. David attended school in Lauderdale County and graduated in Elmore County. At a young age, David confessed hope in Christ and united with the Springhill Missionary Baptist Church. He worked several years with various occupations, yard work and on farms. He also worked at Steel Casting in Florence, AL.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Glenda C. Barnett and brothers Jessie James Barnett, Bobby Lewis, Jimmy Lewis, and Thomas Barnett, Jr. all of Florence, AL.

He leaves to cherish is memory one brother; Larry W. Barnett, Three Step Children; Jerry Walker, Tyrone Chandler and Timothy Ingram. Four Sisters; Annie O. Barnett, Mrs. Etta M. Ingram of Florence. Mrs. Fannie B. Hereford of Huntsville and Martha Be Vaughn of Florence. Sister in laws; Mrs. Minnie P. (Albert) Carroll of Arizona, Mrs. Melinda A. Barnett, Mrs. Edith A. Barnett of Florence and Hezzie Anderson of Florence, Patricia (Benny) Noel. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and many friends. Special Friends: Mr. Poochie Thompson and Mrs. Shelane Griffin of Florence, AL.
