Her Journey

Donna Kay Dixon Woods, daughter of the late J.C. and Peggy Stewart Dixon was born on September 9, 1952 in Florence, Alabama.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the love of her life, Jack Woods, May 2, 1972.  This union was blessed with four children. Jack preceded her in death on January 4, 1996.

Donna was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, aunt and friend. She spent several years in the banking industry before dedicating her time to being a full-time-stay-at-home Mother.  She volunteered with Youth Elite Society ( a youth program at Fort MacArthur), various schools her children attended and at her Church. One of her greatest passions was cooking which she made sure to pass onto her daughters. She enjoyed traveling, spending with with her family and she loved to laugh.  No matter how old her children were they were always called "her babies"! She was a true Matriarch, a wonderful and extremely dedicated Nana. She placed the well-being of her family above her own! She was her children's best friend and confidant.
