Dwight Carnell Perkins was born November 18, 1960, in Florence, Alabama. He was raised in Michigan by his mom Annie P. Busby and his step-dad James Busby.

Dwight graduated from Inkster High School, Class of '79. He worked at Monarch Tile for a number of years. He went on to work for UNA where he'd later retire. Dwight had a great sense of humor and loved cracking jokes. He enjoyed his music, family, friends, and a good time.

Dwight leaves to cherish his memory, mom: Annie P. Busby; siblings: Janice Dixon, Sheronda Edison. Reginald Busby; two sons: Orlandous (Nickleshia) Johnson and Deondrae (Sha'Torree) Johnson; grandchildren: Orlanda, Za'Kylan, D'Andria, and Da Mahni Johnson.

He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Phyllis Johnson: grandparents, Rev. John Lewis Perkins and Blanche Perkins; as well as his beloved brothers, Joby Perkins and David Perkins
