Eddie James Brown, Sr.

Departed this life on June 7, 2019, at his home in

Bailey Springs, Alabama. He was born to the union

of Lawyer and Annie Mae Brown in Florence,

Alabama, on May 13, 1946.

Eddie confessed his belief in Christ at an early age

and joined Bailey Springs AME Church where he

was a faithful member for over 70 years. He had

great love for his church and church family. He also

served on the trustee board at Bailey Springs AME

Church.

Eddie had many jobs over his life time, however the

one he made into a career was his lawn-care

business. He enjoyed being outside. He loved his

clients and they loved him. The only thing he

enjoyed more than cutting grass was fishing. He

fished all the time! All he needed was a fishing pole,

which stayed in the back of his truck, and a creek

bank. That was his little piece of heaven on earth.

Last but not least, he was a very loving, kind-hearted,

and genuine father and paw-paw. Family was a big

part of his life; he was very close to his siblings.

Eddie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 26

years, Alice Eugene Campbell-Brown, his parents,

Lawyer Brown, Sr., Annie Mae Brown, and brother

Robert Lee Brown.
