Elizabeth Ann Shanes Shipley transitioned to Glory on Wednesday,

December 5, 2018, with her family at her side. She was born May 8,

1951, to the union of Clyde Luther Shanes and Ethel Mae Shanes.

She confessed faith in Christ at an early age. She was a faithful

member at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, where she was active in the

kitchen committee, the praise team, the usher board and mothers

board, and in the senior choir. She was a loving and compassionate

person who loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ethel Mae

Shanes; paternal grandparents, Rev. Chalmers and Lilly Mae

Shanes; maternal grandparent, Spudgin Brown; husband, Allen

James Shipley Jr.; brothers, Clyde Shanes Jr., and Chalmers Shanes
