Mrs. Ellen Johnson Crenshaw was the sixth of thirteen children, born to Jerry and Ollie Mae Johnson on October 13, 1950. God has called another servant to come home to be glorified on September 1, 2018.
She was a 1970 graduate of Deshler High School.
She was married to Clifford Crenshaw for 26 years. God sustained and blessed their marriage.
She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age and was a very faithful member of East Florence Missionary Baptist Church. She joined on April 5, 2013, with her husband, Clifford Crenshaw, and was active in the chorus and the kitchen.
She was employed at T.J.'s Manufacturing Company from 1986 until 2000. She was then employed at Linen "N" Things in Florence from 2000 until 2005, when she retired. She was a devoted and loving member to her family. She was loved by many for her kind acts of servanthood. In her selfless devotion to others, she became diligent in making sure everyone around her was pleased and their requests were fulfilled.
She was the mother of two sons, Robert Thompson who proceeded her in death and Reco Terrell Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ollie Mae Johnson, who passed from this life on September 7, 2014, and her father, Jerry Johnson.
She is also preceded in death by Mr. Earnest Johnson and Mr. Percy Johnson, who are resting in peace in the arms of God.
She leaves to cherish wonderful memories, her husband, Clifford Crenshaw; a devoted family, Mr. Carl Johnson (Lenale), Mrs. Margie Freeman (James), Mr. L.C. Johnson (Terry), Mr. Herbert Johnson, Mr. Rufus Johnson (Rhonda), Mr. Jim Johnson (Deborah), Mrs. Hazel Steed, Ms. Helen Johnson, Mr. Gorden Johnson (Jo Anne), and Mr. Willie Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildre
