Ms. Emma Jean Beckwith was born December 19, 1957 to George and Rosa Beckwith in Florence, Alabama. She departed this life on April 25, 2018. She was a loving, wondering mother and grandmother and a pillar in the community. She was a very faithful, dedicated member of Trinity Baptist Church. A lover of people, she was a true friend and confidant to so many. A most charitable person of the community and graduate of Coffee High school, she worked at ECM Hospital for a number of years, AVC, and T.J.'s. She is preceded in death by her father, George Lee Beckwith; her brother, George Lee Beckwith, Jr.; and her niece, Datamera Beckwith.

She is survived by her mother, Rosa Beckwith; her sons, Mr. Shawn (Kimberley) Green and Mr. Charles Beckwith both of Bowling Green, Kentucky; daughters, Ms. Leslie Beckwith of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and Ms. Tia Beckwith of Florence, Alabama; sisters, Ms. Annie B. Jones of Sheffield, Alabama, Ms. Enid Beckwith of Memphis, Tennessee, Ms. Janice Beckwith of Florence, Alabama, Mrs. Valerie (Donald) Holland of Tuscumbia, Alabama, Ms. Sharon Beckwith, and Mrs. LaTasha (Robert) Williams of Florence, Alabama; brothers, Mr. Wallace (Rhonda) Beckwith and Mr. Karl (Angelique) Beckwith of Florence, Alabama; aunts, Mrs. Mary (Nathaniel) Dortch, Santa Monica, California, Ms. Mattie Duster, Ms. Delois Foster of Florence, Alabama, and Ms. Hattie Faukule of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; uncles, Mr. James (Geraldine) Foster of Florence, Alabama, Mr. Clarence (Frances) Foster, Mr. Joseph (Bernice) Foster of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Mr. William (Kaye) Foster of Sheffield, Alabama; grandchildren, Jararius Cole, Khalil, Adeja, Shawn Jr. Green, Omar Pointer, Olivia Juwan, Amir, Dalaija, Benrick (Fat Boy), and Asia; a host of relatives and friends; and special friends, Ms. Annie Bertha Davis, Joseph Gamble and John Woods.
