Fannie Mae Sheppard Ingram
Fannie was born June 4, 1943 to the late Cora Lee Doxie Sheppard and late Charlie Sheppard. Fannie departed April 2, 2021 at North Alabama Medical Center.
Fannie was preceded in death by Step-father: Ellis Kirkman; Sisters: Ruby and Laura Lee Sheppard; Step-Daughter Hattie Butler; God Children: Deidre Coleman, Roderick Jackson and Larry D. Buckmon.
Our Mother,
The wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, mentor and so much more; but most of all she was love!
Fannie completed her education at West End as Valedictorian of her class.
Fannie raised many house children as a caregiver and housekeeper to their parents. Fannie raised her own siblings until some married and moved on in their lives.
Fannie always worked a full-time job providing for her children to give them a great life.
Fannie worked for over 35 years until she became disabled. Fannie's jobs included, head housekeeping, homemaker and ended with a seamstress for over 20 years at H.D. Lee.
Fannie was the neighborhood Mom, Cook, Friend and Transporter. Fannie saw to it that every child in the neighborhood and East Florence had a ride home; even through it meant making multiple trips.
Fannie was a great babysitter and after school care taker to her grandchildren.
