Gerald Thirlkill was born February 25, 1974, to Florine D. Thirlkill and late Charles E. Thirlkill. He departed from life on Sunday, February 9, 2020, at North Alabama Medical Center.

Gerald was a graduate of Sheffield High School and was employed by Gemstone of Florence, Alabama. Gerald loved family gatherings, football, and family cookouts. He was also a fan of Alabama.

Preceding him in death were his father, Charles E. Thirlkill, and brother, Edward O'Brien Thirlkill.

Gerald leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Javante Thirlkill, Shamari Thirlkill, Tavaris Thirlkill, Tamya Thirlkill, and Jalen Thirlkill, all of Tuscumbia; mom, Florine Thirlkill of Sheffield, Alabama; bothers, Melvin Thirlkill of Sheffield, Alabama, Clevon Thirlkill (Laura) of Florence, Alabama and Eric Thirlkill of Sheffield, Alabama; sister, Angela Smith (Launceford) of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; uncle, Dr. Green Davidson III (Barbara) of Tuscumbia, Alabama; and aunt, Betty Davidson of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends who will honor his memory.
