Gladys Dillard Collier transitioned to Glory on Saturday, November 24, 2018 with her family at her bedside. She was born December 31, 1926 to the union of Chester Dillard and Zurella McCray Dillard. She was the third of five children.

She confessed faith in Christ at an early age and joined Cave Spring Missionary Baptist. She faithfully served as a member of the Senior Usher Board and held the office of Treasurer for over 30 years. In addition, she was a member of the Missionary Society serving until her health begun to fail at age 83.

She was a loving, companionate, and humble person who loved the Lord. Her family enjoyed her quick wit and infectious laughter. She enjoyed preparing homemade meals for her family, reading, watching golf tournaments and baseball. She was a confidant and disciplinarian who did so with patience and kindness.

Gladys was preceded in death by her parents Zurella McCray Dillard Alexander and Chester Dillard; spouse, Albert L. Collier; Toddler Child Larry; three sisters, Lucille Dillard Pillar, Escille Dillard Cole, Lena Mae Dillard Yarbrough; and one brother, Leroy Dillard.

Gladys leaves to cherish her memories four daughters Charlene Collier Baker (Sheffield, AL), Althea Darice Collier (Jonesboro, GA), Brenda Collier Law (Hampton, GA), and Kondra Collier Williams (Atlanta, GA); two sons, Binfort O. Collier (Nashville, TN) and Dennis L. Collier (Notasulga, AL). She was extremely proud of her family, which was five generations strong prior to her passing. She was an awesome "Big Mama" to 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grands; and 3 great-great grands. One beloved aunt Mrs. Minnie Mae McCray (Tuscumbia, AL). A host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other relatives and friends.
