Harvey Jesse Summerhill "Jake" was born October 9,
1937. He departed this life December 20, 2023. He was
born to the late Robert Bill and Mary Etta Summerhill.
He was raised by his uncle and aunt, the late Ellis and
Odell Thompson. He later came under the care of his
brother, the late Felix and Marrie Summerhill, and
later his nieces and nephews.

He accepted Christ at an
early age and was a faithful member of Springhill MB
Church, until his health started to decline.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one brother, Tom
Summerhill of Florence, AL; a special niece and
caretaker, Sharon Freeman of Florence, AL; great-niece,
Feronda Summerhill of Harvest, AL; nephew, Jeffrey
Summerhill of Harvest, AL; special friends, Julia Bell
Walter, Kathy Barnett, Rhonda Kay Beckwith, and
Jessica Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins,
and friends.
