Ivan Dewayne Rutland was born on
September 18, 1976, in Nashville, Tennessee, to Mary
Rutland Guinn.

Ivan departed this life at North Alabama Medical
Center in Florence, Alabama on Tuesday, September 7,
2021, from heart surgery. He was preceded in death by
his grandparents, J.B. and Mary Rutland, two uncles,
Clarence Rutland and Clark Rutland, and one aunt,
Ella Hurley.

Ivan received Christ at an early age at Calvary Baptist
Church in She eld, Alabama. He attended school at
Deshler High in Tuscumbia, Alabama.

Ivan leaves to cherish his loving memories: the mother
of his children, Bianca Page of Tuscumbia, Alabama;
one daughter, Seqouia Polk of McKenzie, Tennessee;
six sons, John Dillon Kent of Tuscumbia, Alabama,
Avery Rutland of Colorado, Trevaughn Polk of
Tuscumbia, Alabama, Jermiah West (Mother, Tammy
West) of Russellville, Alabama, JaRee Rutland and
Jakori Rutland, both of Tuscumbia, Alabama; his very
devoted mother, Mary Rutland Guinn of She eld,
Alabama; two brothers, Fredrick (CaSheta) Rutland
of She eld, Alabama and Johnny (Jasmin Davis)
Guinn of Tuscumbia, Alabama; three aunts, Barbara
Goodman of She eld, Alabama, Maria (Hayward)
Crawley of Tuscumbia, Alabama, and Jackie Rutland
of Cherokee, Alabama; three uncles, J.B. Rutland, Jr.,
of She eld, Alabama, Dr. Ernest (Delois) Rutland of
Detroit, Michigan, and Westley Vinson of Decatur,
Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and
friends.
