Janice Jackson was born on April 26, 1958, in Sheffield, Alabama, to the late James Louis and Willie Mae Jackson. She accepted Christ at an early age, and she was baptized at First Baptist Sheffield.
She began her formal education in the Muscle Shoals School District and graduated from Muscle Shoals High School, where she was one of the first African American females on the flag corp of Muscle Shoals High School's marching band. She later attended Calhoun College where she studied Business Administration.
Since her teenage years, Janice endured health challenges; however, she did not complain and was a warm and loving person. She loved her family , and her son Avery was the object of her affection..
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Louis and Willie Mae Jackson; grandparents, Louis and Irene Jackson and Willie and Johnnie Pearl White; a sister, Doris Jean Jackson; and brother, James Stanley Jackson.
Janice entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory: one son, Avery John Jackson; one brother, Bobby Ray (Annette) Jackson; three sisters, Jonell (Willie Frank) Eggleston, Beverly (Shelton) Cotner, and Sherry Long; brother-in-law, Michael Long; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friend.
