Mr. Johnnie Bruce Brown, Sr., son

of the late Clinton and Alice Lovelace Brown, was

born December 15, 1943, in Florence, Alabama. He

confesses hope in Christ and joined Bailey Spring

AME Church. He graduated from East End High

School and later joined the Air Force. He retired

from Reynolds Metal Company. He married

Brenda Pride Brown in 1977 with whom he had

two children.

Johnnie departed this life June 18, 2019, after a brief

illness at North Alabama Medical Center surround

by his loved ones. He is preceded in death by two

brothers, Cloyd Brown and Clinton Brown, Jr., and

one sister, Annie Ruth Armstead.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a wife of

42 years, Brenda Brown; one son, Johnny

Brown, Sr.; one daughter, Temeka Brown;

four grandchildren, Jaylon and Kenise

- irkill (Tameka), Antonio and Aysia Brown

(Temeka); eight sisters, Mary Hinton, Betty

Joe Bumpus, both of Chattanooga, Tennessee,

Willodean Dwight of Dalton, Georgia, Grace

Vaughn (Louis), Mattie Watkins (Cleveland),

Jeanetta Beard (Charles), Margie McCoy, and Alice

Gant all of Florence, Alabama; two sisters-in-law,

Delois Jackson of Lima, Ohio, and Hattie Hayes

of Battle Creek, Michigan; and a host of nieces,

nephews, cousins and friends.
