Johnny "Pee Wee" M. Pride was born August 11, 1947, in Florence, Alabama, to the late Willis and Edmonia Pride. He departed this life on Saturday August 1, 2015. He joined union with Carolyn (Watkins) Pride on May 25,1979. In his early years, he was employed by Browns Ferry, Yellow Creek, and Danco Company. He worked for Local Union # 777. He proudly served his country in Vietnam and in the United States Navy for four years, where he received an honorable discharge. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Lottie Mae Moore. He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving and devoted wife, Carolyn; one son: Ramsey Wilson; three daughters: Crystal Pride, Tabitha(Bernard) Hayes, and Latashia Adams; two loving brothers: James(VaRand Sevier)and Willie Pride, brothers- in-law: Billy Jackson, Reginald (Joy) Watkins, and Brasco Watkins Jr.; five grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. "Pee Wee" loved to listen to music, fish, cook, garden and spend time with family; and he enjoyed life to the fullest.
