Joyce Faye Goodloe was born on September 28, 1960 in Colbert County, Alabama. She departed this life Saturday, June 9, 2018, at her home in Florence, Alabama.

She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Rutland Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church in Cherokee, Alabama.

She blessed many lives with cherished memories: her father, James Goodloe; mother Mary Goodloe; children , Lakechia Goodloe Decatur, Jerald Goodloe, Aaron Russell, Neno (Tiera) Goodloe, Courtney Goodloe, Chad (Lucreita) Goodloe, Diane Lewis, Lekeysha (Paul) Shackelford, Bennie (Lacurie) Russell, Nicholas (Ketia) Russell, and Mike Russell; sisters, Willie Lou Goodloe, Tina Goodloe, Viola Goodloe, Sally (Willie) Pettaway, Judy (Ernest) Davis, Johnny McDaniel, and Paula Wooden; brothers, James Goodloe, Buddy (Shirley) Goodloe, Larry (Lorene) Goodloe, Lloyd Goodloe, and Herman Goodloe; ten grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, including one special grandson and caretaker, Shawn Lewis.
