The life of Ms. LaPresia Chanell Powers, can be described as beautiful, colorful tapestry, interwoven with threaded deeds of love, kindness, compassion, courage and faithfulness with true love for her family, friends, church family and everyone that came to know her. Ms. LaPresia Chanell Powers was born December 28th 1989 to Mrs. Sharon(Ben)Reed of Florence, Alabama and Mr. Michael Powers of Leighton, Alabama. She departed this life on August 10th, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital in Florence, Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age and joined Rock Primitive Baptist Church under the pastorialship of Pastor Billy Brewton. She was a graduate of Florence High School and Northwest Shoals Community College. She was a devoted caregiver for the Adult Sitting Agency. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother Mary M. Cole, grandfather Tommy Lee Rhodes and aunt Tamarra Edwards. She leaves to cherish her memories; the love of her life, her son: Master Dakarai King(Father Chris King); mother: Sharon( Ben) Reed, father: Michael Powers; three devoted brothers: Desmond Powers, Daiquan Chandler, and Dominique Abernathy, three sisters: LaJasamine Wright, LaJordan Thompson and Mykayla Thompson, devoted grandparents: maternal Sister Barbara"gran ma" Cole, paternal: Mr. Roy(Mrs.Pearline) Powers, great grandparents: Ms. Estelle Berry, Mr. E.P. Hamilton, and Ms. Lula Mae Williams, aunts: Gwen Jones and Tammy Rhodes; uncles: Demon Rhodes and Tay-lor Edwards; great aunts: Reverend Carolyn Cole, Glenda(James) Beckwith and Evelyn(George) Reynolds; great uncles: William(Gizell)Cole, John(Arlean) Cole, Johnny William, Hollis Berry and Frank(Phyllis)Berry; teetee: Shelia Johnson, Michelle Duke and Sharon Jackson, and a host of many, many more family and friends.
