Mr. Lee Porter Ingram was born on August 27, 1940, in Center Star, Alabama, to the late Bennie Ingram Sr. and Elizabeth Bulls. He departed this life on April 22, 2026, with his daughter by his side at Cypress Cove Center in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Lee was baptized at an early age. He was an industrious worker early in life and continued to be employed until retirement with over 50 years of dedicated service in many different employment establishments, ending with ALSCO of Florence, Alabama. Lee was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Henry & Mattie Ingram; Parents: Father: Bennie Ingram, Sr. and Mother: Elizabeth Bulls; Step-Father: Willie Smith; Step-Mother: Juanita Ingram; Wife: Fannie Mae Ingram; Sister: Margaret Brown; Brothers: Robert Lewis Ingram, Bennie Ingram, Jr., Ruble N. Ingram, and Bill Smith; Daughter: Hattie Butler; Son-in-law: Samuel Johnson, Jr. Cherished Memories Three Daughters: loving & devoted daughter: Sabrina (Elvin) Johnson, Edith (Connie) Fuqua, and Sherry (Ellis) Southward; Twelve Sons: Ricky (Moses) Banks, Perry Ingram, Shelton Johnson, Kenneth W. Johnson, Patrick O’Neal (Jasmine) Nance, Lee Porter (Sharon) Howard, Otto (Belinda) Nance, Robert Lee Howard, Travis (Terrell) Brown, Trent (Carolyn) Brown, Lee P. Ingram, and Vernon O. (Rebecca) Ingram; Brothers: Bennie L. (Delois) Ingram, Maurice (Debra) Ingram, Tyrone (Lucille) Ingram, and Brett (Cheryl) Garth; Sisters: Elizabeth Garth, Nellie Ingram Chandler, Mary Jones, Wanda Wilson, and Cynthia Ingram; Brothers-in-law: James (Carol) Sheppard, Jessie (Kyong Suk) Skipper, and William (Jackie) Skipper; Sisters-in-law: Eliza (Bennie) Cole, Andrew Louise (Lewis) Farris, and Pamela Ingram; Bonus Siblings: Judge (Deborah) Ingram and Denise (Carlton) Ross; Bonus Nieces and Nephew: Sharon (Clint) Walker, Denise Brown, and Jarvis (Olga) Brown. A special devoted cousin: Gwen Pugh; A devoted grandson: Elvin A. (LaTasha) Ingram; Grandchildren: 46; Great-Grandchildren: 65; Great-great Grandchildren: 10; Three devoted friends: Curtis Jackson, Albert (Gee) Noel, and Joseph Goodloe; Special nephew: Robert Ingram, Jr.; A host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and lots of friends. Lee had a unique love for his family, always producing phases that only he could. His phases brought laughter that could bring you to your knees and that you would always remember and quote to strangers as if you had invented them!!! He was an incredibly quiet man, but his presence brought warmth and joy to all those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
