Leemarquette Moore Winston quietly departed this life on Friday, October 13, 2023, at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence, Alabama. She was born on January 21, 1954, to the late Robert Moore and Martha Moore in Florence, Alabama. Leemarquette was preceded in death by her father, Robert Moore, mother, Martha Moore, and brother, Robert Moore, Jr.

Leemarquette was a faithful and loyal church attendee until her health failed. She retired from Florence High School and Delta Steel.

Leemarquette leaves to cherish her memory: a loving, caring, and devoted husband, Mack Winston; son, Doc Thompson; two grandchildren, Tyler Thompson and Royalty Thompson; sisters, Easter (Charles) Betts, Sheree (Carzee) Wilcox, Chiquita (James) Rowlett, all of Florence, Alabama, and Frances (Nathaniel) Gadd of Conyers, Georgia; brother, Lovell Moore of Florence, Alabama; nieces and nephews, Akevia (Barron) Kindle, Ayeisha Skipworth, Starris "Granny" (Robert) Smith, Shakira Gadd, Shaiya Rowlett, Thaddeus "Long Head" Betts, Trey Rowlett, and Jayden Gadd; great-niece and -nephews, A'aliyah and Ta'Shawn Betts, Jakari Smith, Kyleigh Calloway, Cameron Johnson, Ja'Kyla Smith, and Kannon Wiggins; special friends, Glenda Page, Willie Junior Page, Bernita Andrews, Brad White, Dr. Jimmy Shaw, Huey Blackstock, Shelia Johnson, Glenda Johnson, Joe Duster, Leroy Thompson, Joe Stover, John Summerhill, and Rose Nails.
