Milo Dortch Snow, affectionately known as "Mickey," was born on February 18, 1945, in
Florence, Alabama, to the late Inez Dubose and Edgar Ellis Poole.
A TIME TO LEARN
Milo was educated in Florence, Alabama, at W. C. Handy School and West End School. She loved softball
and played for West End School. In 1964, she graduated from East High School in Buffalo, New York.
A TIME TO SERVE
As a young girl, Milo accepted Christ at Petersville Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
When the family moved to Buffalo, New York, she joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
After retiring back home to Florence, Alabama, she joined Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church
where she served on the Usher Board.
A TIME TO LABOR
For nearly 40 years, Milo worked at General Mills in Buffalo, New York. In 2006, she retired and relocated
to her birthplace of Florence, Alabama.
A TIME TO LOVE
Milo married Fred Snow on January 1, 1967. They remained married until his death in 2001. She loved
spending time with family, going to church, watching football (the Buffalo Bills were her favorite team),
and Westerns. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music and blues music.
A TIME TO MOURN
Milo passed away peacefully on July 4, 2023, at Mitchell Hollingsworth Nursing and Rehabilitation
Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Snow; mother, Inez Dubose; and father, Edgar
Ellis Poole.
She leaves to celebrate her life, cherish her memories, and mourn her passing her siblings, Joyce Green,
John Woods (Lorrie), Norris Woods, Karen Woods, Julia Woods, Cynthia Dubose, as well as many nieces,
nephews, cousins, and her goddaughter, Dawn "Boo" Thomas.
