Obituary

Miranda Diane Butler Anderson was born on November 24, 1958, in Florence, Alabama, to the late Juanita Davis Butler and Clarence (Billy) Butler, Sr. She transitioned from the earthly life to her heavenly home on August 19th, 2026, at the age of 67 at Emory Hospital—Georgia. Miranda confessed her hope in Christ at an early age under the leadership of Reverend McDonald and was baptized at Bethel CP Church. She attended W. C. Handy School and Coffee High School. Following this, she began her working career. She worked at Eliza Memorial Hospital for several years, followed by Quality Cleaners. She then moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia. In Georgia, she was employed at Walmart, working at several locations throughout the area. She worked for 23 years before retiring in 2023. She was an avid sports fan. She loved football, basketball, the WNBA, Atlanta Dream, Angela Reese, and A’Ja Wilson. Miranda was preceded in death by her parents, Juanita Butler and Clarence Butler; precious daughter, Tamara Chant’re Anderson ; grandparents, Washington and Maple Key Davis and James and Elsie Butler; great-grandmother, Marie Rhodes; brother, Joe Thomas Davis; sisters, Nola Elizabeth Butler Esters and Anita Malone; three aunts, Eloise Fortenberry, Alize Davis, and Frances Randle; and seven uncles, Lustee Ross, Robert Davis, Joe H. Davis, Bill Beasley, Shimmy Davis, James Butler, Jr., and Bobby Butler. She leaves to cherish her precious memory: her companion, Johnnie Carroll; two precious sons, Bobby Bernard Butler and Reginald Lamont Anderson; Selena Carroll and Jayden White; grandchildren, Nyiesha White, Bobby Butler, Jr., Ketia Thomas, Brielle Butler, A’Rora Butler, KJ, Montez Cowan, and Mavrick Coman; great-grandson, Demin Butler; bonus children, Kristin Thomas, Ebonée Clark, Sadiyah Cochran, Demond Hale, Keke Roy, Kyle Roy, Kage Roy, and Sundae Roy; brothers, Karl Butler (Brooke), Spence Butler (Kim), Robert Butler (Benita), Tim Cole, Clarence Butler, Jr., Micheal Holman, and Robert Anderson; sisters, Evelyn Lewis (Harold, dec.), Teresa Garner, Dionne Butler, Yvette Butler, Sandy Butler, and Elsie Butler; one aunt, Bette Mitchell; two uncles, Cleveland Fortenberry and Robert Randle; sisters in-law, Jessie McKinney and Mary Williams; brother-in-law, Cater Carroll; nephews, David Butler (Torie), Randal Johnson, Demauriel Butler (Bree), Quinton Butler (Cassidy), Darius Davis (Ashley), Jarius Davis, Marlon Armstead, Rapheal Hogan, Brandon Graham, Demetrius Lewis, Robert Pride, Lamario Butler, Reggie King, R’Dellius Davis, Eric Miller, LaMont Perkins, Shawn Russell, Davion Butler, Kash Butler, and SamaJae Hempel; nieces, LaKenna London (Terrence), Natasha Butler, Charlishia Esters, Reneshia Esters (Terrence), Jasmine Armstead, Christine Asher, Sarnee Gill, Ashley Brannon (Rob), Kesley Butler, Jersliegh Butler, Precious Coman, Talayah Lovelace, and Brittin Butler; and a host of great-nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends.
