Muriel Summerhill Webb was born on December 5, 1929, in St. Louis. Missouri, to the late Robert Hunter Summerhill and the late Cornelia Finner Summerhill.

Muriel moved form Florence, Alabama, at an early age and graduated from high school in Chattanooga, Tennessee. After high school, she went to nursing school and obtained her LNP. Muriel also pursued advanced nursing training while residing in Houston, Texas.

She demonstrated a love for service and senior citizens, which became a focal part of her life. Muriel went above and beyond her duties as an LPN while employed at various nursing homes and private caregiving services. She owned and operated a florist and enjoyed creating flower arrangements and other works of art.
