Mrs. Odell Mitchell Howell was born in Killen, Alabama, on March 3, 1913, to the late Mr. John McKinley Mitchell and Mrs. Essie Lee Harden Mitchell. She entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. She grew up in a lovely home with 11 siblings , who all preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Moment Howell. Odell enjoyed gardening and taking care of her many plants and beautiful flowers. Her life was an inspiration and her memory will be a benediction. She was a lifelong member of Bethel CPCA Church, where she sang in the choir. She served diligently until her health failed. The first Sunday in September, members of the church visited her at Mitchell Hollingsworth. In her sweet miraculous voice, she began singing to them, "I'm Tired, My Soul Needs Resting." She leaves to cherish her memories, one son: Connie Bradford Mitchell, Maywood, Illinois; three grandsons: Andre Mitchell, San Diego, California, Gregory Mitchell(Nelisha), San Diego, California and Bradford Mitchell(Sue), Maywood, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, man relatives and friends.
