Rebecca Smith Williams was born on May 1, 1937 in Florence, Alabama to the late Mr. John Ester and Mrs. Francis Margaret Stewart Smith Andrews. Rebecca was a member at Saint Joseph Catholic Church of Florence, Alabama. She was a faithful member of the choir. Rebecca was actively employed for many years at Saint Joseph School and retired from her labor from Turtle Point Yacht and Country Club. Her retirement allowed well spent time and cherished memories with family and friends as well as traveling abroad. Rebecca passed away at 2:35 a.m. at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, March 17, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband; Billie Gray Williams Sr., two brothers; Sonny and Ester Andrews, sisters; Martha Smith Potts, and son-in-law; Terry Wray. She leaves to cherish her memories: three daughters; Rita Wray, Billie Turner, and Lida(Reverend Willie N. Williams Sr.)Williams, one son; Billie Gray Williams, three sisters; Luvenia Ingram, Ada(John) Reeder, and Dr. Laura(Marvin" Dale") Thompson, three brothers; Elmer , Henderson , and Joseph Andrews, ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and others relatives, and a very special friend, Ms. Willie Pearl cooper(Mother Cooper).
