Ricky Lynn Williams was born on February 19, 1959, and departed his earthly life on December 13, 2020. Ricky was born to William Penn Williams and Sadie Mae Williams. He was a native of Florence, Alabama, where he resided most of his life. Ricky was a 1977 graduate of Coffee High School, where he was a skilled basketball player. His talents landed him a basketball scholarship at Northwest Shoals Community College. Ricky accepted Christ at a tender age and was a life-long believer.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nellie Marie Alexander; wives, Adrienne Davis Williams and Jacqueline Gibson Williams; and stepdaughter, LaRhonda Gibson.

He is survived by: his brother, Charles Armstead (Ruby); his children, Marecus Williams, Shereena Hooks, ShaRetha Williams, LaShondra Williams, and Ricky Williams, Jr.; grandchildren, Adrienne S. Williams, A'nya Rowell, Aaliyah Rowell, Josiah Hooks, and LaDarious Belue (step-grandchild); step-great grandchild, Kingston Belue; nephews, Bill Alexander and Charles Armstead, Jr.; nieces, Sharon Dillard, Barbara Armstead, Vanessa Armstead, Towanda Armstead, and Alberta Alexander; a host of great-nieces, nephews and cousins; and a devoted friend, Daryl Andrews.
