Rodrick "Roger" Deon Koger was born to the late Peggy Brown and the late Millert "Juke" Holiday on December 6, 1971.

Rodrick graduated from Cherokee Vocational High School in Cherokee, Alabama. He was a great father and husband. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy Brown; father, Millert "Juke" Holiday; stepfather, Abe Brown; grandfather, Mack Payne; granddaughter, CharLeigh Nevaeh-Faith; father-in-law, Charles Fulton; and special cousin, Jonathan Nipper.

He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving and devoted wife, Melissa Koger (Tuscumbia, Alabama), and daughter, Alexis Koger (Haleyville, Alabama). He also leaves to cherish his memories: father, Hoover (Samantha) Koger; grandmother, Helen Payne; Mother-in-law, Diane Fulton; siblings, Kendrick Koger, Shaquina (Tonisha) Koger, Keasea (Steven) Teague, Lucreita (Chad) Goodloe, Matthew (Olivia) Brown, Necoal (Devon) Holiday Driver, Shamara Payne, Shaune (Chenelle) Holiday, Alanson (Rayfield) Holiday-Ragland, and Quay Holiday; best friends, Denzil Pilkilton and Jason Askew, very special cousin, Wayne Goodloe, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
