Obituary

Rosalind A. Kincaid was born on January 10, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was born to the union of Nathaniel Kincaid and Rozine Mckesson-Kincaid. She was preceded in death by both parents.

Rosalind graduated from East Technical High School in Cleveland, Ohio. One of Rosalind's many proudest and profoundest moments of life was to make history in Cleveland. In the 1970's, she historically held notice as the "First Black Woman to drive a Greyhound Bus". In the late 1980's, she relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina. She held several jobs in the medical field which included Raleigh Community Hospital, where she retired in 2008.

Rosalind confessed her faith at an early age and later united with Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.

Rosalind was a devoted mother, but strict disciplinarian to her two sons Edmundas Ladd of Henderson, Nevada, and Justin Kincaid of Yelm, Washington, whom she raised alone. In addition, she was a very loving and devoted grandmother.

Over the years, Rosalind developed a love for various crafts, needlepoint, and making delicious cakes. She truly enjoyed spending time in the company of her family and friends.

Although Rosalind had been ill for many years and confined to a nursing facility, she remained trendy, witty, and above all a loving mother, sister, and close friend until her death on November 14, 2016.

Rosalind Kincaid leaves several loved ones to cherish her memories. She leaves her two sons, Edmundas(Jenny)Ladd of Henderson, Nevada, and Justin(Laritha)Kincaid of Yelm, Washington; four grandchildren, Brianna and Alexis Ladd, Jada Kincaid, and Tyson Fleuridor; six siblings, Rozine Germany of Sheffield, Alabama, Regina Cromartie of Euclid, Ohio, Rupert Kincaid of Charlotte, North Carolina, Rita Kincaid of Durham, North Carolina, Ronda Kincaid of East Cleveland, Ohio, and Raynard Kincaid of Zebulon, North Carolina; one uncle, Nelson Kincaid; three nieces, Devona(Josh)Cromartie-Kolbe, Ariel Cromartie, and Jarita Jefferson; one nephew, Foster Kincaid, Roslind also leaves loving memories with dedicated friends; Katie Davis, Josephine Metcalf, Larry and Ann Gunn, and Peggie Winstead (loyal roommate at Cottage of the Shoals Nursing Facility); special loving memories of friendship, laughter, and dedicated care in the friends of Arthur and Shirley Carroll and Rev.
