Mr. Sampson Patterson began his life journey November 26,1954 in Florence, Alabama as a child of the late Gertrude Patterson and John D. Ingram. He departed this life on August 11, 2023 at North Alabama medical Center surrounded by loved ones.

Sampson, affectionally called Samp, graduated from Coffee High School. Soon after, he began a job that allowed his easy-going demeanor and love for helping others to shine through his work at Hibbett Elementary School. Samp served the Florence City School System for ovr 25 years and many children that came through during his time there have awesome stories to tell!

As Samp, began his adult life, he welcomed a baby girl, Tabitha (Tab) Jordan. He also formed a union with the late Mary Foster and through that union with Mary - Samp welcomed four children, Marcus Foster, Jerico Foster, Sadecius(Chez) Foster and LeAsha Patterson.

Samp leaves to cherish his loving memory his children: Tabitha Jordan of Florence, Alabama, Marcus (Taressa) Foster ,of Villa Rica, Georgia, Jerico (Tamisty) Foster of Florence, Alabama, Chez (Cortehia Parham) Foster of Carrollton, Georgia  and LeAsha Patterson of Villa Rica, Georgia.

Siblings: Donald Patterson of Waterloo, Alabama, Christopher (Teresa) Patterson and Judy Patterson all of  Florence, Alabama, Kathy Patterson-Hooks of Cleveland, Tennessee, Cynthia Ingram-Tate of Saginaw, Michigan, Kenneth White, Huntsville, Alabama. Six grandchildren, Jayla, Jaylen and Jordan Foster, all of  Villa Rica, Georgia, Camdyn Foster of  Birmingham, Alabama, JaKaiden Foster of Florence, Alabama and Alijah Banks of Bremen, Georgia; A special Aunt, Mae Patterson, a special friend, Grover Rowell; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
