Samuel Augusta Johnson, Jr., was born April 22, 1963, to the late Samuel and Etta
Mae Johnson in Florence, Alabama. Samuel departed his life on Monday July 18,
2022, at North Alabama Medical Center, Florence, Alabama. Samuel was a faithful
member of Trinity M.B. Church.
Samuel retired from the City of Florence Utilities after 32 years of dedicated service.
Samuel was a hard worker, family man, devoted husband, Papa, uncle, brother,
encourager, comedian, motivator, entertainer, cook, laborer, and many other
things. Samuel's favorite pastime was eating and spending time with his family.
Samuel leaves to cherish his memory: loving and very devoted wife, Sabrina Johnson;
one son, Elvin (LaTasha) Ingram of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; one daughter,
Samantha Johnson of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; three godchildren, Tiffany Thomas
of Ellenwood, Georgia, Desmond (Sandra) Barnett of Muscle Shoals, Alabama,
and Ashley (Christopher) Long of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; one brother, Dexter
Johnson of Florence, Alabama; five sisters, Sandra Fay Scott of Duluth, Georgia,
Debra (Greg) Horton, Idella Davis, Lanette (Teen) Thompson, all of Florence,
Alabama, and Rosalyn Johnson of Fayetteville, North Carolina; father-in-law,
Lee P. Ingram; two sisters-in-law, Gayle (Connie) Fuqua of Rogersville, Alabama,
and Sherry (Ellis) Southward of Florence, Alabama; nine brothers-in-law, Perry
Ingrams of Florence, Alabama, Shelton Johnson of Nashville, Tennessee, Wayne
Johnson of Florence, Alabama, Patrick (Nikki) Nance of Athens, Alabama, Otis
(Belinda) Nance of Ozark, Alabama, Travis (Terrell) Brown of Sheffield Alabama,
Trent Brown, Lee Ingram, and Vernon (Rebecca) Ingram of Florence, Alabama;
four grandchildren, J'yheam Ingram, Alijah Ingram, Aria Foster, and Alyra Foster,
all of Muscle Shoals, Alabama; ten god-grandchildren; six aunts and three uncles;
a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends; and Three special friends,
Richard Turner, Glenda Turner, and Jerry Garner.
