Shereena LaShawn Hooks, was born September 18, 1978,
in Florence, Alabama, to Carolyn Faye Jackson and the late
Ricky Williams. Shereena departed this life on Wednesday, November 15,
2023, at North Alabama Medical Center.

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church of
Florence, Alabama. She confessed in Christ on July 29, 1990,
under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Marshall. Shereena
served in the choir and the kitchen committee. She started
the kids in the church as a Praise Team called the "Stepping
Stones." They were in Times Daily Newspaper. The kids were
so happy!

Shereena went to Bradshaw High School and she was in the
band. She went to University of North Alabama two years and
she worked at Riverbend Center as a pre-school teacher until
she was disabled.

She was preceded in death by Sam and Carrie Cunningham,
Robert, Johnnie, and Joe Hooks; grandparents, Oscar and
Ruthia Mae Hooks; sister, LaRhonda Gibson; and father,
Ricky Williams.

Shereena leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son,
Josiah O'Neal Hooks of Florence, Alabama; loving and
devoted father and mother, James and Carolyn Faye Jackson
of Florence, Alabama; brothers, Marecus Williams, Madison,
Alabama, Ricky Williams, James Fagan Sr., Florence,
Alabama; sisters, Catina Fagan, Florence, Alabama, ShaeRetha
Williams and Ellis Williams, both of Madison, Alabama;
aunts, Altha Anderson, Florence, Alabama, Lola Hooks,
Lillian Thompson, Bettie Hooks, and Ozella Johnson, all of
Florence, Alabama; Mary Hooks of South Carolina; Brenda
Jordan of College Park, Georgia; Uncle Charles Armstead
(Ruby) of Florence, Alabama; Maria Hooks of Florence,
Alabama; Jalen, Kayson, Shantel, of Florence, Alabama; and
Herbert, Yolita, Brian, Christine and Brianna of McKinley,
Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
