Thomas E.
Suggs
Jan 13, 1968 — Nov 26, 2025
Madison
THOMAS EDWARD "MUFFIN" SUGGS was born January 13th, 1968,
in Sheffield, AL to the late Willie E. and Barbara J. Suggs. From a
young age he found joy, purpose, and mentorship with the game of
basketball at Sheffield High School. He dominated the court with
a rare combination of strength, skill, and instinct. A fierce defender
and a reliable scorer who could change the pace of a game in an
instant. His presence alone lifted the confidence of his teammates
and struck respect in the opponents and the community. He played
with passion, purpose, and most of all, with his heart and used
his talent to later play at Butler County Community College in El
Dorado, KS. The final buzzer sounded on November 26th, 2025,
leaving a life of dedication, hustle, love for his family and lifelong
friends.
Thomas joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an
early age where he served as Deacon, member of the choir, and armor
bearer with humility, commitment and a heart for God. Thomas
held a deep respect for Pastor Pride, supporting him faithfully and
standing by his leadership with sincere devotion
Thomas was a proud and committed employee for 19 years at
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama. He was respected for his
strong work ethic, reliability, stewardship, and competitiveness.
This aligned with his purpose and desire to lead as a man of God,
husband, father, brother, uncle and friend.
To know Thomas was to know someone genuine, dependable,
and full of heart. He helped shape the lives of those he cherished. He
extended that same steadfast friendship to countless others, making
everyone feel like family. His legacy of faith, love, and service will
live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
