TURNER J. SCOTT was born on July 10, 1956, in Florence, Alabama, and departed this life on June 15, 2026. 

Turner proudly served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he dedicated many years to working with Florence city schools, where he built meaningful relationships and took great pride in his work. Known for his love of racing, his warm personality, and his easygoing spirit, Turner never met a stranger.

 Turner was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Scott; parents, Louis and Mary Scott; brothers, Charlie B. Jackson (Rosie), James “Bo” Scott (Mary), Maurice Scott (Susan), and Eugene Scott (Verdine); and sisters, Mary Stewart, Ruth Scott, and Edie May Scott. 

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sister, Fannie Scott; sons, Darrell Carter, Rico Scott (Ashley), and Darrell “DJ” Little; grandchildren, Dominique Borstler, MaLyric Scott, Harmony Scott, Rivers Scott, and Shamir Lockett; two great-grandchildren, and three brothers in law. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory
