Vicki Miranda Johnson Butler, a beloved native of Florence, Alabama, entered this world on January 29, 1957, as the first of
eight daughters born to William McKinley and Betty Jo Johnson. On Sunday, August 4, 2024, Vicki unexpectedly transitioned from
this life, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith and devotion to God.
Vicki's spiritual journey began early in life. In 1980,she rededicated herself to her faith, living boldly and steadfastly for God ever since.
Her unwavering dedication to her faith was a guiding light in her life. Her educational path took her through Weeden Elementary, Burrell Slater,
and she graduated from Coffee High School in the class of 1975-1976. Vicki pursued higher education at Northwest-Shoals, where she earned
an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her love for children was profound and evident in her work at Handy Head Start and Ekklesia
Daycare. Vicki's smile and love, a testament to her compassionate nature, greeted every child she encountered, whether they were her students
or simply in her presence. Vicki's life was also marked by a lifelong romance with Brady Butler, whom she met and claimed as her own in the fifth
grade. They married on February 24, 1979, and their union was blessed with two children, Terrell and Sha'Mekia. She was preceded in death by
her parents, and sister, Toniette. Vicki leaves cherished memories for her loving husband, Brady; devoted children, Terrell (Tangela) and
Sha'Mekia; granddaughter, Sha'Myia, her pride and joy; sisters Yolanda, Bridgett, Janice, Keachia, Torey, and Tamela; and a host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives, and friends. Her life was a testament to her faith, love, and dedication to her family and community .She will be dearly
missed by all who knew and loved her.
