VONDA LESHAE CHILDRESS was born on October 23, 1980,

to the late James Edward Childress and survived by her mother Clara

Faye Childress. She departed the earthly life on December 23, 2025.

She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age and united with the

Saint James M.B. Church in Florence, Alabama. Where she served

as an assistant secretary and remained faithful. She was also the

administrative assistant of the Florence Fire Department where she

served for 11 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Barbara Jean Nance

and Jane Allen Childress; father, James Childress; and brother,

Charles Thomas

She leaves to cherish this life: her devoted mother, Clara Faye

Childress; two loving daughters, Ameria Kelley of Decatur, Georgia;

Ama'Rie Fuqua of Florence, Alabama; one devoted sister, LaQuinta

(Nisey) Thomas; two beloved brothers, James Weaver and Donavan

Payne; one dearest grandson, Julian "Juve" Devonne Cole, Jr., of

Decatur, Georgia; uncle, Reginald (Lois) Turner; special aunt, Min

K Michelle (Kayo) Daniels; one nephew, Timothy Trotter; one niece,

Aaliyah Reporto; special devoted friends, Kristie Lynn Rowell, Amy

Chappell Chandler, Diane Petty, and Renee Nichols; and a host of

nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends
