Mr. Walter James "Tim" Barnett,
affectionately known by family and friends as
"Tim," was born on November 27, 1959, to Mr.
Ellis Anderson and Mrs. Ella Barnett Anderson.
Tim took the stair steps to Heaven on July 18, 2023,
at 9:34 AM in his home.
Tim was a native of Florence, Alabama, and
attended the Florence City schools.
From an early age, Tim was a faithful and dedicated
member of Good Hope Missionary Baptist
Church. He would visit out of town, be admitted
to the hospital, but always returned to Good Hope
Missionary Baptist Church with the late Brother
Harrison Humes and Brother John I. Humes always
waiting for the call to work with them, from the
upkeep of the church and other tasks they needed
him to help with.
Tim was preceded in death by his father, Mr. Ellis
Anderson; great-grandmother, Mrs. Samilla Hardy;
grandfather, Mr. Arthur J. Barnett; two brothers,
Mr. Willie Louis Barnett and Mr. Eugene Barnett;
one sister, Helen Barnett; five aunts, Ms. Alma Jean
Barnett, Mrs. Lena Ruth Green, Mrs. Linda Harris,
Mrs. Ruby Reeder, and Mrs. Eva Jones.
Tim leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Mrs.
Ella Barnett (Willie Koger) Anderson; daughter,
Mrs. Regina (Cedric) Robinson; grandchildren,
Ms. Keese and Chetana Robinson; grandmother,
Mrs. Martha Scott; niece, Ms. Demetria Boddie
Thompson; nephews, Mr. Shanta L. Barnett, Mr.
Rod Boddie, and Mr. Demarcus Robinson; special
sisters, Mrs. Arzenia Bennett, Ms. Trinia Williams,
and Mrs. Pytenia (Charlie) Hart; special brother,
Mr. Mark (Jennifer) Williams; aunts, Mrs. Mildred
Johnson, Mrs. Geneva Allen, Mrs. Peggy Love, Mrs.
Dorothy Noel, Mrs. Emma Brokseth, and Mrs.
Lucille McDaniel; uncles, Mr. Leroy Thompson, Mr.
Tonice Trent Woods, and Mr. Cassanova Woods; a
very, very, special sister/friend/cousin, Mrs. Wanda
Simpson; other special friends, Ms. Arlene Malone,
Mrs. Margaret Jones, Jessica Jones, Christina Jones,
and Sabrina Pearson; and a host of other relatives
and friends.
