Mr. Williams "Lewis" Wilson, Sr was born December 24, 1943, in Coverdale, Alabama to the late William and Ruby Wilson of Cloverdale, AL.  Mr. Lewis Wilson transitioned this life on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at his residence in Florence, AL. He was a lifelong resident of Florence and a legendary car mechanic for his family and friends. Mr. Lewis Wilson was employed with Tom Smith Tire Company for a number of years.

Mr. Lewis Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. William and "Mama" Ruby Wilson; 2 brothers, Thomas James (Red) Wilson, and Henry "Bookie" Wilson, both of Ohio.

Mr. Lewis Wilson accepted Christ at an early age and united with Tabernacle MB Church. Mr. Lewis is survived by his children, Iris Wilson (Dwight Ford); Dexter Wilson (Angela); Meredith "Greg" Wilson (Aretha "Marlette"); and William Lewis "Billy" Wilson, Jr (Debra); all of Leighton, AL. A Step-Father, Mr. Herman Hodge of Florence, AL. One Brother, Mr. John "Dee" Reeder, and one Sister-in-Law, Mrs. Ada Reeder, both of Florence, AL. One Aunt, Mrs. Annis Sullivan, Rocky Gap, Virginia. 13 grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren; and 3 great-great-great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
