WILLIE JERRY KOGER was born on January 11, 1953, to Hiawath and Fanny Koger. He confessed his life to God at an early age at St. James Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership as an usher, something he took pride in and loved doing. Willie Jerry Koger attended and graduated Colbert Co. High School Class of ‘74. Willie Jerry Koger was united in holy matrimony to Shannon Luvern Koger, and to this union they had three children: Jerry Demetrius Koger, Willie Jermaine Koger, and Rashanda Monique Koger Beckwith (Keith). Willie served in the United States Army. He then went on to join the local laborer union. Aft er retiring from Browns Ferry, he went on to work for Bank Independent for 30 years, a job he loved so much even aft er retiring, he still loved his job. Willie was preceded in death by his wife, Shannon Luvern Koger; son, William Jermaine Koger; mother, Fanny Koger; father, Hiawath Koger; granddaughter, Riylee Jamarie Koger; brothers, Otis and Rob Koger; and aunts, Josephine Madden and Bertha Madden. He leaves to cherish memories: his son, Demetrius Koger; daughter, Rashonda Monique Koger Beckwith (Keith); grandchildren, Terrion Upshaw; Tavion Upshaw (Dacy); Te’Marrion Skipworth, Kyzeir Beckwith, Kyle Beckwith, and Ashante Beckwith; three great-grandchildren, Luca Upshaw, Ella Upshaw, and Kyzer Beckwith; fi ve sisters: Frankie Koger Johnson (Chris), Sallie Stover, Dorothy Bates (Larry), Bessie Koger, Betty Koger; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; and other relatives, friends and special friends.
