Melesa Farrar Mayes

Owner, Funeral Director, Insurance Agent and Certified Crematory Operator, (CCO)
Melesa Farrar Mayes was born July 10, 1972, in Athens, Alabama to the late John and Arnell Farrar. She was the eighth child, affectionately known as "The Last of the Mohicans." She is a 1990 graduate of Clements High School, where she was a member of the marching band and a cheerleader. Currently, she is a volunteer reviewer for the Clements High School NaphCare Scholarship and obtained an associates degree in General Education in 1992. Mrs. Mayes furthered her education at the University of North Alabama (1992-1994), where she was active in the Black Student Alliance and Ascending Voices. She concluded her college career at Athens State University, earning a B.S. degree in Criminal Justice in 1996.
Mrs. Mayes began her professional career with Wal-Mart, beginning as a front-end cashier and working her way up to a District Loss Prevention Supervisor in Sugar Land, Texas. She was employed by Wal-Mart for 10 years.
In 2004, Mrs. Mayes had a total career change to the funeral industry by way of Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, Muscle Shoals, Alabama. In 2015, she "took a leap of faith" and broadened her funeral expertise by establishing Grace Memorial Funeral Home. In 2016, she attended Jefferson State Community College, Birmingham, Alabama, where she obtained a certificate in funeral service and became a licensed funeral director.
Mrs. Mayes is a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, Florence, Alabama, and serves as the Grief - Share Leader. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Kappa Phi Omega Chapter, and is the chapter financial officer.

Andrea is a native of Sheffield, Alabama and resides in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Andrea brings over 55 years of experience to the funeral home industry. She began at the age of 7 training with her parents, Percy and Thelma Mullins. Andrea's father taught her to be a funeral home attendant and her mother taught her to be a radio personality for McClain Funeral Homes of Sheffield and Florence (now closed).
Andrea has a great understanding of how to serve and assist families in their time of need.
Andrea is married and the mother of two children.

Nakeva Harrison Pulley has been accustomed to many aspects of the funeral home industry for more than 35 years. She is the granddaughter of the late Napoleon Harrison, Sr. and niece of the late Charles Leon Harrison, owners of Harrison's Orange Mound Funeral Home in Memphis, Tennessee, established in 1921.
Currently, Harrison's Memorial Chapel, Inc. is owned and operated by Jerry Harrison, son of the late Charles Leon Harrison.
Nakeva is a 2x HBCU alumnus of Alabama A&M University where she obtained her most recent Master of Science degree in Communications Specialist, with a specialization in Business in 2023. She brings a plethora of knowledge and skills to Grace Memorial with over 25 years of experience in Public Relations to include: Public speaking, directing Miss Alabama Pageant preliminaries through Miss Alabama Pageant, Inc.(Preliminary to Miss America), radio news director, radio station producer, talk show co - host, event promoter and booking agent. She is also a talented voice over artist.
